Review: Lensbaby 3G

Hello this is my review of the Lensbaby 3G.

Get ready to answer a slew of questions once you attach this lens to your SLR.

This lens looks like a mix between an "executive gift" and a children's toy, but is by no means either.

For those of you unfamiliar with the lens baby series, this is the newest lens in their line of fine focusing lenses.

The fantastic thing about this lens is it's versatility. You can spend a long time adjusting all it's knobs to get that perfectly focused picture, but it serves surprisingly well for on-the-fly shooting as well.

You can lock the focusing on the lens which is great when you have the camera setup on a tripod and want to go experiment with the lighting for your photograph. The focus of the LB3G will be exactly where you left it.

If you have a night shoot or running water to do with longer shutter speeds, you don't have to worry about keeping the camera perfectly still to keep it sharp and in focus, as the locking mechanism does it for you.

It may take a bit of getting used to pushing, pulling and adjusting all it's features before locking it into place but once you get the hang of it you'll be happy you made the investment.

The lens runs fairly priced at around $270.00 and is compatible with a wide selection of SLR cameras.

More than just a fun lens, it can be quite useful at times and would be a great addition to your collection.
